Collagen induction therapy, also called microneedling or fractional mesotherapy, is a minimally invasive technique that stimulates the production of collagen and elastin in the skin, two of the most important substances in maintaining the youthful and radiant appearance of the skin. Collagen and elastin stimulate the creation of new cells, helping the skin to regenerate itself. Microneedle treatment involves the creation of hundreds of microscopic lesions in the dermis and/or epidermis, micro-channels, which are invisible to the naked eye based on the traditional Chinese acupuncture technique.
This procedure is one of our favorites because it stimulates your own body to work from the inside out to speed healing. In this healing process, the production of collagen and elastin is increased, and the skin is naturally regenerated, the results being visible and lasting. The device performs up to 1000 micro-punctures per second, perfectly controlled, with a direct effect on collagen and elastin fibers, both through mechanical action and through the introduction of active substances directly into the deep layers of the skin.
At the end of the procedure, the face or treated area will be slightly red and you may experience tingling, itching or "tight" skin as the growth factors, vitamin C or platelet-rich plasma will be absorbed by your skin. Usually, all this disappears in 24-48 hours and healing takes place, which brings with it the first results: brighter, firmer, brighter skin! To get really effective results, you will need more than one treatment so that it really increases the production of collagen and elastin.
At the end, a scar cream with a high protection factor will be applied, if the treated area is exposed to the sun. This procedure is not performed in the summer season, nor if in the next 2-3 weeks after the treatment there is prolonged exposure to the sun, as there is a risk of pigment spots appearing on the treated surface. It is also mandatory to apply daily creams/serums with a moisturizing and calming effect and cream with sun protection factor 50+.
